What do you do?

I do physics. And then silence.

I think the question has come up often enough to warrant some effort to come up with a good follow up.

"I do physics. You know why? Because of all the babes."

Too contrived.

"I do physics. Yes I'm very smart."

or

"I do physics. You know Newton's apples and Einstien's hair?"

Actually I think it's true that physicists are the most romantic people. Here are some example expressions of love:

"Newton may have his apple, but you are the apple of my eye."
"Central force motion may make the earth go round the sun but you make my world go round."
"Maxwell has his equations of light, but you light up my life."

The possibilities are endless.
